Happy feet music and Movement Company came to kinder to provide an interactive fitness class for both the four year old groups.
The theme of the first class was shapes and colours. Through song and dance the children engaged in numeracy and literacy concepts. For example – counting the sides of each shape, labeling colour etc. It was wonderful to see the children’s confidence as they were all given the opportunity to “free style” dance in the middle of the circle.
The second incursion was based on community workers. The children were involved in several scenarios where they were required to select which emergency service they would call. They then enjoyed moving around the room in a ‘magic’ fire truck.
The children were fascinated by Miss Casey’s magic and her rainbow dress! Thanks Happy Feet fitness!
