Maribyrnong Kindergarten is a community, not-for-profit kinder and relies on involvement and support from the community. There are many opportunities to get involved.
Committee of Management
Parents/volunteers are invited to join the parent-run committee of management. The kinder’s smooth operation relies on people with a diversity of skills and experiences to volunteer their time. Through the committee, members are given the opportunity to have a say, be involved in the collaborative running of the kindergarten and play an active role in the wider kinder community. Kindergarten Roster
During Term 2, 3 and 4, parents have the opportunity to be part of the kindergarten sessions. The “Play, Stay & Learn Roster” will be available to parents at the beginning of Term 2.
The kinder invites parent helpers to assist at either bush kinder sessions or home kinder sessions. A roster is located at the kinder entrance for parents to place their name down when available or e-mail your child teacher to find out more.
Please Note
You must hold a Working with Children’s check to participate in our Stay and Play & Learn roster. A copy of your check must be supplied to the kindergarten before you can stay. Fundraising
Parents/volunteers are encouraged to join our fund raising committee and become involved in a number of key fundraising events throughout the year.

Working Bees
There is always so much to do at the Kinder and we can’t do it without the help of volunteer parents. Working Bees are determined throughout the year as required and communicated via SkoolBag.
Special Events
The kindergarten holds several special events throughout the year including family days, information sessions and various social events.
